If you have stormwater issues in your landscape such as standing water in the lawn or flowerbeds or even stormwater making its way into your home or garage, you need to consider having a drainage system installed underground to redirect the storm water away from those areas. Water damage to your home or landscape can be costly and a drainage system can fix that problem quickly.
There are a few different solutions that can help:
1. Surface Drainage solution - these systems use catch basins installed to the low part of the landscape where the storm water collects. These basins have grates that allow the water to drop down into a piping system under ground and travel quickly away from the area to a more desirable spot like the street or the ditch. Another type of surface drain is a Channel Drain. These systems are usually installed into the concrete surface like in front of a garage or near the patio of a swimming pool, etc. 2. Subsurface Drainage solution - "French Drains" These are underground pipes surrounded by gravel, wrapped in filter fabric and covered by the soil. They are never seen because they are "subsurface" and can be an effective way of taking the water away or causing it to absorb more quickly into the ground and then leached out into the deeper soils below. They basically accelerate the absorption of the water that collects in a certain area. These systems are a great solution for keeping water off of the foundation of your home as well.
Green Texas can look at your landscape drainage problem and install either of these solutions depending on your yard's specific needs. You can make an appointment by calling 936-867-4001 or email.
